Our Limerick correspondent reported that Rev. A’L Hudson, the rector of Clarina, was shot by an unknown person, leaving him severely injured with a gunshot wound through the neck. It is believed that the assailant was a farmer who had previous business dealings with Hudson. Further details are yet to emerge as investigations continue into the shocking incident involving the Irish clergyman.
