Hon. Lewis Alexander Grant Passes Away, Leaves Behind Limerick Family Ties

The Hon. Lewis Alexander Grant, son of the sixth Earl of Seafield, has passed away in Anchorage at the age of 89. Grant, who was educated at Oxford and served as a lieutenant in the Royal Guards, has resided in various locations throughout his life, including Westpark in Elgin and Hall in Kent, before finally settling at Anchorage.

In 1849, Grant married the daughter of Mr Robert George Maun-Feli of Richmond Place, Limerick. She passed away in 1885, and Grant is survived by a son, Alexander Lewis Henry Grant, who resides in Upway, Dorchester, and is married to the daughter of the late Sir Thomas Erskine Perry, as well as two daughters. One daughter has married Mr Henry Maitland Sperling of Lew Trenchard, North Devon, while the other lived with the deceased.
