The recently erected Nationalist Memorial Cross at Rathkeale, located on a splendid site in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, is now in need of financial support. Mr William Hayes, treasurer, has called on all those who promised to contribute funds to promptly forward their donations, emphasizing the importance of supporting the memorial.

To help defray the costs of the memorial, it is suggested that concerts be organized in Rathkeale and Newcastle West, with the expectation that Gaelic Societies and the Young Ireland Society in Limerick would lend their assistance in this matter. The community’s support is crucial in ensuring the Nationalist Memorial Cross remains a symbol of pride and remembrance for generations to come.
