We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Peter Fitzgerald, the beloved wife of Mr Peter Fitzgerald, J.P., of Mondellihy in Adare. Mrs. Fitzgerald’s illness was of a relatively short duration, and her untimely demise has cast a gloom over a wide circle of friends. Her amiable nature and kind-heartedness endeared her to all who knew her.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was the sister-in-law of Sir Maurice Fitzgerald, a knight from Kerry, and Mr Robert Fitzgerald, a respected member of parliament from Ballyard House, Tralee. Her close familial connections further highlight the impact of her loss.
The funeral took place on Saturday, and a large cortege accompanied her from Mondellihy to Adare, reflecting the deep respect and affection held for her. Public boards in Limerick expressed their regret and offered sympathies to Mr Peter Fitzgerald through resolutions passed in her honour.
The passing of Mrs. Fitzgerald leaves a significant void in the lives of her family, friends, and the wider community. Her amiable nature, sweetness of disposition, and warm presence will be dearly missed. May she rest in peace, and may her loved ones find solace and strength during this difficult time.
