Corbally Baths: A Popular Swimming Spot in Limerick City

The Original Baths Consisted Of A Wooden Diving Board, A Small Changing Area, And A Series Of Wooden Steps That Led Down To The River. In The 1930s, The Baths Were Renovated And Expanded To Include A Concrete Diving Platform, A Larger Changing Area, And A Small Café.

For many years, Corbally Baths were a popular destination for families, especially during the summer holidays. However, in the 1970s and 1980s, the popularity of the baths began to decline, and they eventually fell into disrepair.

In the 1990s, efforts were made to restore the baths, but these plans never came to fruition. Today, the site of the former baths is a public park, popular for walking and picnicking, but no traces of the original baths remain.
