Irish Dairy Association to Host Five Butter Competitions in Limerick

The Council of the Irish Dairy Association Limited has announced plans to host five butter competitions this summer and autumn, similar to the events held last year. Open to all creameries in Ireland and private dairies, the competitions will provide an opportunity for participants to showcase the finest Irish butter. However, the butter must be salted and packaged in either 112lb keels or 56lb boxes for despatch to Limerick. With the dairy industry in Ireland steadily gaining recognition, these competitions will help further promote and celebrate the high-quality products being produced. Anyone interested in participating can obtain full details from the association’s honorary secretary, located at Sexton Street, Limerick.
