Next Monday, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will be in full swing, and the Shamrock League, under the presidency of the Countess Limerick, is preparing to dispatch boxes of shamrocks from their London depot at 41 Chester Square, Belgravia. The Queen, having removed previous restrictions, now allows Irish soldiers to wear the green. The Countess is offering boxes of shamrocks at half-a-crown and four shillings apiece, with proceeds benefiting the Soldiers and Sailors’ Families’ Association, a deserving organization that relies on the support of the public.
