A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Limerick last evening, when a group of youths were bathing in the Shannon, off King’s Island. Tragically, 15-year-old James was seized by cramp and sank into deep water, resulting in his drowning before any assistance could reach him. The promising young victim was the son of James from the 5th Royal Munster Fusiliers. The community mourns this untimely loss and extends their sympathies to the grieving family during this difficult time.
