Aid for African Missions: Successful Sermons in Limerick

The Reverend D.J. O’Sullivan, an esteemed member of the Society of African Missions based in Cairo, Egypt, recently concluded a series of impactful sermons in churches across Limerick. The purpose of these sermons was to raise funds for the impoverished missions supported by his society in Egypt and West Africa. The outcome of the fundraising efforts has been highly satisfactory, with a respectable total of £172 raised.

In expressing his gratitude, Father O’Sullivan would like to extend his thanks to the Bishop of Limerick and the priests and young people of the city for their support. He wants to make it clear that the donations collected are intended to assist the missions directly supported by the Society of African Missions in Africa, and not for the African Mission College in Cork. The funds raised will be forwarded to the Right Reverend Bishop Pellett, Vicar General of the Society, located in Lyons, France.

The success of the fundraising campaign reflects the generosity and compassion of the community in Limerick, as well as their commitment to supporting missionary work in Africa. The funds will contribute to the vital efforts undertaken by the Society of African Missions to improve the lives of those in need in Egypt and various regions of West Africa.

It is through such acts of charity and solidarity that communities can make a positive impact on the lives of others and foster a spirit of global cooperation. The Reverend D.J. O’Sullivan’s sermons and the subsequent donations serve as a testament to the compassion and dedication of the people of Limerick to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate in distant lands.
