Yesterday, at the Quarter Sessions, a lawsuit was brought forth by William Creagh, a contractor, against the Limerick Guardians. Creagh claimed £10 as a balance for work performed in the construction of a Foundling Hospital, with £7 10s attributed to additional work. Mr Hastings represented the plaintiff, while Mr M.D. McCoy appeared on behalf of the guardians.
The defence argued that Creagh had failed to complete his contractual obligations and contended that he had actually been overpaid, as he had already received a sum of £32 12s 6d. After considering the arguments presented, His Honor dismissed the action, ruling in favour of the defendants, the Limerick Guardians.
