In today’s Police Court session, presided over by Mr Hickson, R.M., Richard Williams was brought before the court on the charge of desertion from the 1st Battalion Connaught Rangers, stationed at Mullingar. The accused had exceeded his furlough period. The court ordered that Williams be handed over to the military authorities.
