LIMERICK COUNTY MILITIA RETURNS FROM ANNUAL TRAINING AT KILWORTH CAMP

The Limerick County Militia, following their annual training at Kilworth Camp, made their triumphant return to the Strand Barracks today. Led by Colonel Gloster, the troops were greeted with fanfare as they marched through the town, accompanied by the spirited tunes of the Fife and Drum Band of the corps.

Upon reaching the Strand Barracks, the militia was disbanded, and a heartwarming scene unfolded outside the barracks. A diverse assembly of wives, mothers, and sisters eagerly awaited the return of their beloved warriors, eager to welcome them back to civilian life after their arduous training.

The annual training not only hones the military skills of the troops but also fosters camaraderie and unity among the members of the Limerick County Militia. The successful conclusion of this year’s training reaffirms the commitment and dedication of the militia in safeguarding the community and maintaining peace and order.
