ELECTRIC LIGHTING COMMITTEE VACANCY: CANVASSER AND COLLECTOR

The Electric Lighting Committee of Limerick will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, the 5th of August at 3:15 p.m., during which they will appoint a qualified individual (subject to Council approval) to the position of Collector and Canvasser. The annual salary for this role is £100 (one hundred pounds). The appointed person will work under the authority of the Committee and the Borough Electrical Engineer, and will be required to provide a guarantee society’s security for the proper and faithful execution of their duties, amounting to £200. The Corporation will cover the annual premium on the policy for this guarantee.

The successful candidate will also be required to sign an agreement prepared by the law agent. The engagement between the Corporation and the appointed person can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side. Interested candidates should submit their applications, written in their own hand, along with testimonials and other relevant documents, to me before 2 o’clock p.m. on the mentioned date. The envelope should be marked “Electric Light Collector and Canvasser.” Personal attendance of candidates is necessary during the election process.
