Individuals involved in civil matters such as disputes, claims, divorces, and other cases to be heard at the County Court House in Limerick must adhere to specific guidelines for their submissions. To ensure proper processing, all relevant documents must be delivered to the Crown and Peace Office either in person or by mail. It is crucial to submit these documents before 1 o’clock pm, at least two clear days in advance of the scheduled session (excluding specified holidays and special days). The excluded days are Sunday, Christmas Day, St. Stephen’s Day, the day after St. Stephen’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Whit Monday, and the King’s Birthday.
For submissions, applicants must use Requisitions (Form No. 23) and affix stamps to cover the Clerk of Crown and Peace’s fees. These requisitions, along with the relevant forms, must be submitted without any alterations and separately for entries and defences. It is essential to note that entries will not be accepted after the specified deadlines.
In cases related to appeals to Assizes, parties serving appeal notices must lodge an affidavit of service and a 2s County Court stamped requisition. This ensures that the appeals are duly recorded and included in the printed list of appeals.
Additionally, applicants lodging Notices to fix Fair Rents with the Clerk of the Crown and Peace are required to submit three copies of the notice. One of these copies will be provided to the Court Valuer to facilitate their assessment.
Following these procedures will help streamline the civil business processes and ensure timely and efficient handling of cases at the County Court House in Limerick.
