Porkbutchers’ Annual Excursion to Dublin a Resounding Success

Over 600 members of the Limerick porkbutchers’ association, along with their families and friends, embarked on their eagerly anticipated annual excursion to Dublin last Sunday. The lively group gathered at the Limerick terminus and set off at 8:30 am for the bustling metropolis.

The journey to Dublin was smooth and efficient, with the train covering the distance in reasonably good time. Upon arrival in the capital city, the visitors dispersed throughout Dublin, indulging in various activities. Some chose to explore the city’s sights and landmarks, while others opted for leisurely drives around the bustling streets.

Throughout the day, the attendees enjoyed the company of their loved ones, creating lasting memories and cherishing the camaraderie of the occasion. Dublin’s vibrant atmosphere offered something for everyone, ensuring a delightful experience for all.

As the clock struck 8 o’clock in the evening, it was time to bid farewell to Dublin and commence the return journey to Limerick. The homeward trip was equally successful, with the train arriving back at the Limerick terminus at 12:30 am, just 4.5 hours after departure.

The excursion’s organizers, the committee responsible for coordinating the event, deserve high commendation for the excellent planning and execution. Their efforts ensured a seamless and enjoyable outing for all participants. The annual excursion provided a welcome opportunity for the porkbutchers and their families to come together, relax, and create cherished memories in the vibrant setting of Dublin.
