During the Limerick Quarter Sessions, John Sheehan, a farmer from the Galballv district, was granted £150 in compensation for the deliberate arson attack on his house and furniture that occurred on the night of 13th September. The court ruling brought some measure of justice to the victim of this heinous crime.
