In a recent development, Patrick Creswer has been ordered to stand trial at the Limerick Spring Assizes following an announcement made by Mr Hickson, the R.M. The charges against Creswer involve the alleged larceny of a valuable gold watch. The incident took place in January of 1905 when he reportedly snatched the timepiece from Mrs. De Burgh, who was en route to the railway station.
It has been reported that the stolen watch was subsequently sold to Denis McNamara, a grocer’s assistant, who has now come forward to identify the timepiece as the same one taken from Mrs. De Burgh. As the legal proceedings move forward, the community awaits further developments in this case.
