Recently, Lord and Lady Inchiquin demonstrated their warm hospitality by hosting a delightful house-party at Dromoland Castle in County Clare. The event was highlighted by invigorating shooting activities that added to the festivities. Their distinguished guest list included Lord and Lady Dunboyne, the Hon. Blanche Butler, the Hon. Edward and Lady Beatrice O’Brien, along with select officers hailing from the Limerick garrison. Notably, Mr Hawkins Ball of Fort Fergus, a joint Master of the renowned Clare Hounds, was also in attendance, adding to the esteemed gathering.
The central focus of the event was the spirited pursuit of cock pheasants, a pursuit that proved to be both enjoyable and productive. Despite the exclusive emphasis on this particular game, the outcome was a successful bag of game that contributed to the overall enjoyment of the gathering. Amidst the grandeur of Dromoland Castle and the camaraderie of esteemed guests, the event exemplified the elegance and vitality of traditional outdoor pursuits.
