The Munster-Connacht Exhibition Co., Ltd in Limerick is embarking on an initiative to highlight and foster the talents of local artisans. This endeavour seeks to cultivate and celebrate the skills of skilled workers by showcasing their abilities both in workshop craftsmanship and home-based creations. The committee behind this effort is currently formulating a scheme to promote individual artisanal talents, and the proposal will soon be presented to the local Trades for their endorsement.
The heart of this project is a special Work Exhibition that will be meticulously curated to showcase the exceptional skills of artisans. This exhibition aims to spotlight the intricate handiwork that goes into crafting various items, both within the workshop and outside of it. By doing so, the Munster-Connacht Exhibition Co. seeks to encourage and recognize the value of individual craftsmanship.
To bring this ambitious project to life, a Special Committee comprising members from various Trades will be established. The Secretaries of different Trade Associations have been contacted for their participation. This collabourative effort is intended to ensure that a comprehensive representation of artisan skills is presented at the exhibition.
Individuals interested in this innovative venture are invited to get involved by contacting Mr E. Travers, the Secretary of the Exhibition, at 17 O’Connell Street, Limerick.
