During the recent meeting of The Limerick Chamber Of Commerce, the Chairman addressed the attendees, acknowledging that since their previous gathering, they had suffered a loss that was irreparable—the passing of Mr Joseph Matterson. He assumed that there was no need for him to elabourate on Mr Matterson’s character to those who had known him for so long. His reputation as the most amiable of individuals and the finest of employers in Limerick was well-established. The Chairman was confident that the Chamber members would unanimously agree to extend their condolences to Mr Matterson’s family in their time of sorrow. Consequently, a vote of sympathy was proposed and accepted. It was also resolved that a copy of this gesture be forwarded to the bereaved family. The meeting was adjourned following these proceedings.
