Following an extended period of ailment, Mr Robert Fogerty, a Civil Engineer and owner of the esteemed Theatre Royal in Limerick, passed away at his residence on Henry Street this morning. The late Mr Fogerty, eldest son of the deceased Mr Joseph Fogerty, an architect in Limerick, had achieved significant prominence in his engineering profession. In addition to his engineering pursuits, he assumed ownership of the Theatre Royal from his father and held this position until his sixty-fourth year.
The funeral proceedings are scheduled for Monday at 10:30 a.m., emanating from his residence. This event marks the conclusion of a notable chapter in Limerick’s cultural landscape, given Mr Fogerty’s dual roles as a respected engineer and custodian of the city’s cherished Theatre Royal.
