The occasion marked the debut of Lady Victoria May Pery, the only daughter of the Earl and Lady Limerick, who is set to be presented at Court in the upcoming season. Lady Victoria holds the distinguished honour of being the god-daughter of none other than Queen Mary herself.
The opulent family seat was bedecked in resplendent fashion, its various chambers adorned with lavish decorations to set the stage for this significant social gathering. The crown jewel of the evening was undoubtedly the ballroom, meticulously arranged in the most recherché style, presenting a scene reminiscent of a fairy tale. Among the distinguished guests were an array of aristocratic luminaries, including the Earl and Countess of Dunraven, the Earl and Countess of Bessburough, Lady Gwyneth Ponsonby, Lord and Lady Inchiquin, Lord and Lady Clarina, and the Misses Butler Massey. The gathering also saw the presence of Lord and Emily, Lord Monteagle and the Hon. Mary Spring Rice, Lord, and Lady Ardee, Sir Charles and Lady Barrington, Sir Hugh and Lady McCalmont, and Mr and the Hon. Mrs. Nigel Haring.
Colonel Wyndham Quin and Lady E. Wyndham Quin, Miss Quin, Mr R. Wyndham Quin, The Knight Glin, Hon. Mr and Mrs. Eyre Massey, Sir Alexander W and Lady Shaw, Sir Vincent and Lady Nash, the Mayor of Limerick and the Mayoress, Mr J. O’Grady Delmege and Mrs. the High Sheriff of the County, Captain J. J. White, and Miss White were also among the esteemed guests who graced the occasion.
