Gardener Needed for Limerick People’s Park

The Limerick Council is seeking to appoint a qualified working gardener to take charge of the People’s Park. The appointment will be discussed at a special meeting on Thursday, February 23rd, at 7:30 p.m.

The selected candidate will receive a salary of 25s per week, along with a provided house and uniform. The gardener must diligently follow the instructions of the Park Committee or any Sub-Committee related to park matters. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing the care of trees growing in the streets.

Applicants interested in the position must be between the ages of 20 and 40. Specific duties for the role will be defined by a special committee appointed for this purpose. The chosen candidate must be prepared to begin their duties on a date specified by this committee.

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications, along with testimonials and Baptismal certificates, no later than 4 o’clock in the afternoon on the above-mentioned date. The envelope should be clearly marked “Gardener.” While personal attendance of candidates is desirable, it is not mandatory.
