Funeral of Mr C. Foran

The funeral of the late Mr C. Foran was held on Sunday, with a procession from St. Michael’s Parish Church to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery. The funeral cortege was extensive and comprised a representative gathering, reflecting the high regard in which the deceased was held, and the deep sympathy felt for Mrs. Foran and the family in their time of grief. Mrs. Foran, who has received numerous letters of sympathy following her sad bereavement, expresses her gratitude to friends through the press.

The ceremony was officiated by several clergymen, including Rev. Dr O’Riordan, Rev. Father Devane, Rev. Father O’Connor, and Rev. Father O’Carroll, all from St. Michael’s.

The chief mourners were John and Edward Foran, sons of the deceased; Rev. Father Foran, Pastor from County Kerry, brother of Mr Foran; Mrs. Mavning and Mrs. O’Conoor from Listowel (sisters); Mrs. Keane from Listowel (niece); William Earight from Newtownandes, and Mrs. K. Foran from Listowel (cousins); Michael Manpiog from Listowel; Mathew O’Connor from Listowel; John Kearney and Christopher Kearney (brothers-in-law); Joseph McNawmara from William Street; John F. McNawmara from the Independent Office in Dublin; Michl O’Connor from Thowes Street; F. Van-Eesoeck, John Earight, and Michael Hayes (relatives).

Among the general public in attendance were various prominent individuals, including John McInerney (Chairman of Limerick Board of Guardians), Alderman John Daly, William Whelan, and others. The list also includes representatives from different firms and associations, demonstrating the widespread respect for the deceased.
