
In a recent announcement, the County Borough Council of Limerick has detailed the procedure for appointing a qualified individual to the role of Accountant or Assistant City Treasurer. The special meeting for this appointment is scheduled for Thursday, October 19th. The chosen candidate will be offered an annual salary of £100, contingent on receiving approval from His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant for the establishment of this position.

Additionally, they must pass an examination in both the Irish language and Irish history, adhering to the standards set by the Council on September 7th of this year.

The Assistant City Treasurer (or Accountant) will be required to dedicate their entire attention to the duties associated with the role.
Interested candidates must submit their applications, accompanied by testimonials, to the undersigned by or before 4:00 PM on the aforementioned date. The application envelope should be clearly marked with “Accountant or Assistant City Treasurer.”
Candidates should also be present in person at the time of the election, which is set for 7:30 PM on October 19th, 1905.
