Glentworth Ward Election: Filling the Vacancy

An upcoming election is set to take place in the Glentworth Ward following the passing of the late Mr John Guinane, J.T. The Town Clerk, acting as the Returning Officer, has received a formal request from two burgesses to hold an election in order to fill the vacancy within the Glentworth Ward. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21st.

The process will unfold in the following manner: Nominations for candidates will be accepted until 5 o’clock on Saturday, the 11th of November. Candidates who have been nominated can withdraw their candidacies up until the same hour on Monday, the 13th of November.

This election marks an important event for the Glentworth Ward, as the community prepares to choose a new representative to fill the void left by the late Mr Guinane. The election process underscores the democratic practices that allow citizens to actively participate in local governance and decision-making.
