Limerick, Monday – In a significant development, the Workman’s Dwellings Committee of the Corporation convened today to deliberate on the potential partnership with members of the Citizens’ Company. The meeting, under the leadership of Alderman M’Donnell, saw the distinguished presence of his Lordship the Most Rev. Dr O’Dwyer. The gathering also included key representatives from the Citizens’ Company, namely Messrs. A. Shaw, P. Power, and J. Power.

The central focus of this meeting was to discuss the submission of plans for much-needed dwellings in the region. These plans had garnered the attention of Bishop O’Dwyer, who expressed keen interest in fostering a collabourative effort between the Corporation and the Citizens’ Company. In a notable proposal, Bishop O’Dwyer recommended offering street sites for the envisioned dwellings, a suggestion that the Corporation is poised to formally consider in the near future.
