At a recent gathering of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce, an important decision was reached. The members unanimously agreed to formally request the presence of the King during his upcoming Royal tour in Ireland. The Chamber’s secretary was entrusted with the task of sending an inquiry to the King’s office, expressing their desire for his visit.
In anticipation of a positive response, the Chamber immediately began preparations to create a Reception Committee. The primary objective of this committee would be to extend a grand and befitting welcome to Their Majesties upon their arrival in Limerick. The city eagerly awaits confirmation and is ready to embark on the necessary arrangements to ensure a memorable experience for the Royal visitors.
