Limerick’s Support for Irish Parliamentary Fund: United Irish League Meeting

At a meeting of the Clonmel Branch of the United Irish League, there was considerable discussion on the subject of the Parliamentary Fund. A resolution was adopted, stating that the call for support made by the National trustees, including Dr. O’Donnell, Bishop of Raphoe, J Redmond, and Alderman O’Mara of Limerick, was worthy of support from all true Nationalists. The resolution noted that past contributions from Clonmel compared favorably with other parts of Ireland, and it expressed hope that the current call for support would be met with enthusiasm and spirited response for the advancement of their beloved country.
