
At a recent meeting of the Limerick Guardians, chaired by Mr John Mclnerney, a young woman named Mary McMahon, whose husband serves in the Royal Marines, applied for admission to the house. A letter from the commanding officer of her husband, Joseph McMahon, was read, suggesting that the guardians could proceed to address the cost of maintenance under the Married Women’s Act. The Clerk was subsequently directed to take action on the matter.
