Limerick County Council – Notice Regarding Poor Rate Collection

Attention is hereby drawn to the diligent efforts being undertaken by the various Poor Rate Collectors within the administrative County of Limerick to promptly collect the aforementioned rate. They have been instructed to employ all legally authorized methods to ensure their immediate recovery. It should be noted that the due date for this rate was the 1st of October, 1903. If any outstanding amounts remain uncollected, they should be remitted without delay to avoid potential legal action.

Ratepayers are advised that collectors will forfeit their entitlement to poundage fees if a substantial portion of the total warrant amount is not lodged on a monthly basis. Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge that these collectors may face suspension and risk losing their positions if the full warrant amount is not lodged by the end of the half-year periods ending in March and September.
