
Dublin, Tuesday, August 30, 1904 – Limerick artists showcased their talent and achieved notable success in the field of woodcarving at the new art industries hall during the Dublin Horse Show. Mr B. Clarke of 6 Shannon Terrace, Limerick, emerged as the winner of the first prize in the designs for woodcarving category. The competition was open to participants from all classes, making Mr Clarke’s achievement particularly impressive.
In the category for students attending woodcarving classes (Class 47), Mr T. Redwood, also from Limerick, secured the third prize. This recognition further highlights the artistic prowess and skill present in Limerick’s woodcarving community.
