The Committee of Management of the Limerick District Mental Asylum will convene on Wednesday, September 14, 1904, to review tenders for the supply of pure, fresh milk to the institution. The contract period will span from October 1, 1904, to March 31, 1905, and the milk will be required in quantities as determined daily, at a specified rate per gallon.
The milk supplied must meet the following criteria: it should produce a minimum of 10 degrees of cream, as measured by the asylum’s lactometer. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a proportionate reduction in the contractor’s payment. Deliveries should be made no later than 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
Interested parties may obtain the printed tender form from the Storekeeper’s Office until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13. Only duly completed tender forms will be accepted, and none will be issued on the day of the meeting. All tenders must be properly endorsed, addressed to the Resident Medical Superintendent, and submitted no later than 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 1904.
Contractors awarded the tender will be required to provide a bond at their own expense. Within ten days of the contract announcement, they must also attend the Clerk’s office with their sureties to sign the bond. Failure to fulfil these obligations will result in the cancellation of the contract.
Please note that the acceptance of the lowest or any tender is not guaranteed.
