Death of a Beloved Religieuse in Limerick

Limerick – It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Miss Fitzgerald, known in religion as Sister Mary Genevieve, at the Convent of Mercy in Limerick. The deceased, who was the sister of Mr P. Fennell of Garryowen, had only recently embraced the religious life, but her health had been a source of concern for some time.

The news of her demise has cast a shadow of grief over the entire community, as Sister Mary Genevieve had endeared herself to all with her kind and gentle nature. During her short time in the convent, she had become a beloved figure, cherished by her fellow sisters who valued her presence and contributions.

The loss of Sister Mary Genevieve will be deeply felt by her religious community, as well as her brother and other family members. Her departure from this earthly life leaves behind cherished memories and a void that cannot be filled. May she rest in eternal peace.
