Limerick, Ireland – At the monthly meeting of the Limerick Fishery Board, it was announced that the Department has offered support for the protection of the Feale and Cashen rivers in North Kerry. The Department will contribute to the cause, providing a maximum of £5 for every £7 contributed voluntarily to the fund.
Mr Hosford, during the meeting, explained the conditions of the grant, stating that the Fishery Board must contribute £15 in addition to the license duty received from the district to qualify for the Department’s support.
The move aims to protect the rivers and their fisheries, ensuring the preservation of natural resources and sustainable practices in the area. The cooperation between the Fishery Board and the Department signifies a collective effort to safeguard the North Kerry rivers for the benefit of the local community and the environment.
