Recent speculations about a potential visit by the King and Queen to Ireland, with Adare Manor being their chosen residence, have been debunked by a response from Lord Knollys.
A statement had been published in a Limerick newspaper claiming that the royal couple would grace Ireland with their presence this year and would be hosted by Lord Dunraven at his prestigious Adare Manor. However, a concerned correspondent sought to verify the authenticity of this news and reached out to Lord Knollys for clarification.
Lord Knollys, an influential figure in the British royal household, promptly responded to the inquiry and unequivocally denied the validity of the statement. In his reply, he stated, “There is no truth in the statement regarding the King and Queen to which you refer.”
As of now, there are no official plans for a visit by the King and Queen to Ireland, and Adare Manor will not be their chosen location should such an event occur. The people of Limerick, like the rest of the country, must wait for official announcements from appropriate authorities regarding any future royal visits to Ireland.
In the meantime, the community may continue to enjoy the splendour and charm of Adare Manor, a cherished landmark in Limerick, known for its rich history and captivating architecture. The estate’s tranquil beauty remains open for visitors to experience, regardless of the royal visit speculations.
