APPEAL FOR TESTIMONIAL TO MR. HENRY O’SHEA

Dear Sir,

We believe that the time has come to express our gratitude for the extensive and valuable contributions made by Mr Henry O’Shea of George Street, Limerick, to the Irish Nationalist cause. A movement has been initiated to create a suitable Testimonial as a tribute to this dedicated Irish Nationalist. We, on behalf of a committee of friends and admirers, sincerely invite your support and cooperation for this endeavour.

Mr O’Shea’s exceptional work in the Nationalist cause speaks for itself. He has been a prominent figure in every National movement for the past fifty years. His personal sacrifices over these tumultuous years have been substantial. However, due to family issues and advancing age, we feel it is imperative to appeal to the Nationalists of the city and the wider country to assist him during his twilight years and demonstrate our appreciation for his significant National services.

Donations are being collected by the Honorary Treasurers and will be properly acknowledged. We request your involvement in this matter.

Signed on behalf of the Committee,

M. JOYCE, MP.., Mayor, Chairman.
STEPHEN O’MARA, Alderman, Honorary Treasurer.
M. DONNELLY, C.B., ex-Mayor, Treasurer.
GEO. MacDONAGH, Secretary.
