LIMERICK ESTATE PUT UP FOR SALE WITH UNCERTAIN RIGHTS

The estate of Robert levers, situated in the picturesque Golden Vale of Co Tipperary, has recently been put up for sale. However, the bidding fell short of expectations, and Mr Justice Ross, presiding over the Land Judges’ Court, expressed his concerns. The property, valued at £5,000, seemed to have an owner without any clear rights, as his tenure had expired. To address this situation, the judge proposed to allow the owner to continue occupying the property for a year, pending the resolution of the matter, at a rent to be determined by the Receiver. As for the other lands on the estate, Justice Ross suggested that the Receiver should seek offers from interested parties looking to use the land for grazing purposes. He further directed that these lands should be let by the Receiver accordingly. The situation remains uncertain as the estate’s fate hangs in the balance, awaiting resolution and clarity on the owner’s rights.
