
The Easter Quarter Sessions for Limerick commenced today, with the esteemed presence of Judge Adams, who officiated at 2 o’clock. Accompanied by the City High Sheriff and Sub Sheriff, the honourable judge opened the proceedings. The High Sheriff expressed his satisfaction at the city’s peaceful condition and presented white gloves to Judge Adams as a token of respect. The judge, in turn, acknowledged the gesture, appreciating the presence of his old friend as City High Sheriff and praising his previous exemplary performance in the role. Judge Adams remarked on the city’s calm and happy state, expressing hopes for improved business and prosperity as a result of the prevailing peace and order. During the sessions, various licensing transfers were granted to individuals such as Hauna DBourke, Elizabeth Barrett, Charles Cowpar, Stephen Haonan, Bridget Kennedy, Charles Martin, Patrick O’Donaell, Martin Ronan, and Catherine Whelan. The court proceedings are expected to continue in the coming days with a focus on maintaining the city’s peace and welfare.
