Closing Order – Shop Hours’ Act, 1904
County Borough Council of Limerick
Whereas, the County Borough Council of Limerick has ascertained the existence of a prima facie case warranting a Closing Order, we, the said County Borough Council of Limerick, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon us by the Shop Hours’ Act, 1904, do hereby establish the following draft Closing Order:
- On Thursdays, all shops within the City of Limerick engaged in the following trades shall close at two o’clock PM: a. Drapery and Kindred Trades, including the Boot Trade and the Merchant Tailoring Trade.
b. The Cycle Trade.
c. The China Trade.
d. The Jewellery Trade.
e. The Stationery and Booksellers’ Trade.
f. The Musical Instruments Trade.
g. The Pawnbroking Trade.
This Closing Order shall take effect on the date of its issuance and shall be in force from that time onwards, subject to any further amendments or revocations made by the County Borough Council of Limerick.
