In accordance with the Shop Hours Act, 1904, the County Borough Council of Limerick hereby announces its intention to implement a Closing Order. The decision is based on representations brought to their attention, indicating a prima facie case for such an action.
The proposed Order will fix the closing hour for shops on every Thursday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon within the designated area. The Order will apply specifically to the trades mentioned in the attached Draft Order.
Any individual may raise objections to the implementation of the Order or provide suggestions regarding its provisions. All objections or suggestions must be submitted in writing to the Clerk of the Council within the next four weeks, before the 8th of August, 1905. After this period, the Council will review all received objections and suggestions and decide on the next steps regarding the Order.
During this specified period, any shop owner who may be affected by the Order can visit the Council offices between 11 am and 4 pm on any weekday. They have the opportunity to verify that their name, address, and trade details are correctly recorded in the Register of Shops.
This notice is issued on the 8th of July, 1905, by W. M. NOLAN, Clerk to the Council. For any ratepayer concerned, a copy of the Draft Order referred to in this notice is available upon request at the Council’s offices.
