A Modest Response from a Limerick Lass

In response to “Limerick Jack’s” claim that the girls of Limerick are the most extravagant in all of Ireland, I, a Limerick girl myself, am here to set the record straight. I can confidently assert that my annual clothing expenses do not exceed £10, and I certainly don’t consider that to be extravagant.

Our strength as Limerick girls lies not in extravagance but in our exceptional looks and brilliant intellects. We take pride in our wit and intelligence, and it is this quality that sets us apart. Perhaps “Limerick Jack’s” bitterness stems from the fact that he realizes our standards in these aspects surpass those of the men in our city.

So, let’s focus on celebrating our unique qualities and embrace our Limerick spirit with pride. After all, it’s our intelligence and charm that truly shine, not our spending habits.
