“Remember Limerick!” echoes far, both near and wide,
To every faithful son of Ireland, wherever they reside,
These stirring words, they cherish, be it exile or at home,
Igniting fervent passions, making traitors feel alone.
“Remember Limerick!” rallied Irish hearts so true,
On Flanders’ battlefield, where they fought the Sassanach crew,
Their valour proved unyielding, on that renowned field,
Like a storm, they swept the tyrants, their oppressors forced to yield.
“Remember Limerick!” dear to our colleens’ hearts,
Their courage and devotion, from generations, imparts,
Amongst the noblest women, on this Earth’s wide span,
Are those who grace the soil of Limerick, a cherished clan.
Let us hold our sacred customs, for Faith and Homeland dear,
Respecting other nations, yet our own land, revere,
Trust not those who deceive, with cunning and with guile,
History warns us wisely, “Remember Limerick’s” guile.
