NOTICE OF COMPENSATION APPLICATIONS FOR CRIMINAL INJURIES

The Clerk of the Crown and Peace for County Limerick has published a list of applications for compensation for criminal injuries that will be tried at the next County Court Sittings in Limerick on the 5th of October, 1905. The cases involve various incidents of malicious burning, cutting, poisoning, and damaging properties and livestock.

Among the applications are John Creban from Licadoon, Ballyneety, claiming £10 compensation for the malicious burning of hay at Blackboy Pike. Robert Levers from Castle Ivers, Athlacca, seeks £6 compensation for the burning of hay at Tuallerby. Maurice Jones from Athlacca demands £3 for the malicious burning of hay at Tullerboy. Richard Hourigan from Biddyford claims £13 for the malicious burning of hay at Waterpark. Michael Norris from Park, Galbally, claims £14 for the malicious burning of oats and straw at Lissard.

Furthermore, the Great Southern and Western Railway Company reports damages of £6 for the malicious breaking of carriages. Other claims include burning of dwellings, cutting of horse hair, poisoning of animals, and destruction of standing grass.

The County Court Judge has scheduled October 5th, 1905, at 11 o’clock for the hearing of these applications.

RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL TENDERS

The Limerick Rural District Council will consider tenders for the execution of new works adopted by them at their half-yearly meeting on October 4th, 1905. The proposed works include constructing walls, footpaths, and roads, as well as rebuilding gullets and bridges.

The Council invites tenders from qualified individuals, and detailed specifications for the works can be obtained from the Clerk’s office. Tenders must be lodged before 5 o’clock pm on October 4th. The Council will also receive tenders for special repairs and rebuilding of various infrastructures across the district.
