THE VOICE OF LABOUR GRANGE BRANCH

The Grange branch of the labour union held its regular meeting on Sunday, with Mr John Bourke, v v, presiding. Several members were present, including James Ahern, John Bourke (treasurer), John O’Dwyer, John Ryan, Pat O’Dwyer, M O’Dwyer, Cornelius Meany, James Harty, Pat Carey, Thomas O’Dwyer, Thomas Fitzgerald, Thomas Houliban, and David Sheaban.

During the meeting, a resolution was proposed by John D O’Dwyer and seconded by John Rourke, vr, and unanimously adopted. The resolution expressed hearty approval of a proposal made at a recent meeting in Limerick, initiated by Mr John Coleman, chairman of the Croom Rural District Council. The proposal suggested that prominent figures in the Irish political landscape, such as Messrs. Edmund, Dillon, O’Brien, and Davitt, should meet soon to address any differences among them. The members believed that unity among these influential individuals is crucial in resolving Irish issues, particularly those pertaining to labour, and achieving successful outcomes.

The secretary, John D O’Dwyer, concluded the proceedings with the announcement of the adopted resolution.
