St. Joseph’s Church, Military Road Receives Generous Donations for Building Fund

Limerick, Ireland – The clergy of St. Joseph’s New Church on Military Road extend their heartfelt gratitude to Reverend S. Frost, Jr., and the people of Banogue for their remarkably generous contributions to the Building Fund. The community’s unwavering support has propelled the construction of this significant place of worship. Donations ranging from £10 to smaller amounts have poured in, showcasing the collective dedication to the church’s growth.

Among the early contributors, Reverend S. Frost, Jr., himself led the way with a donation of 2 shillings, while Mrs. K. Sheehy of Cherrygrove, James O’Connor, Daniel Nunan, and Daniel Cagney also contributed substantial sums. A wide range of community members, including John Coleman, Timothy O’Shea, Martin J. Hartigan, and more, offered their financial backing to the project.

The contributions varied, with many individuals providing 5 shillings each, including Mrs. Cagney, Con Cagney, John O’Mahoney, and Pat McCarthy. Others pledged 45 shillings, including Nicholas Ford, Mrs. David Grady, and Pat Burns. Several community members offered 25 shillings, while some individuals generously gave 5 shillings each.
