The Sisters of the Good Shepherd extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Bishop, the clergy, the compassionate citizens of Limerick, and all who have generously contributed to the recent collection in support of the Magdalen Asylum. They also wish to convey their sincere appreciation to Reverend E.B. O’Laverty, CSSR, Rector of Monat St. Alphonsus, for his moving appeal on behalf of the impoverished penitents on January 1st, and to the gentlemen who kindly served as collectors during the event.

- Various sums ranging from £10 to a few pence, all representing the collective generosity of the community
