The Limerick Board of Guardians convened for a statutory meeting to elect their Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Deputy Vice-Chairman for the upcoming year. Mr John McInerney, Esq., served as Chairman, presiding over the meeting. The following Guardians were present:

During the meeting, the appointment of officers was discussed:
- Chairman: Mr John McInerney was nominated for re-election by Mr Cuddihy and seconded by Mr P. Mulqueen. He was unanimously re-elected as Chairman and expressed his gratitude for the Guardians’ continued trust. He emphasized his commitment to fair and just rulings during his tenure.
- Vice-Chairman: Mr Patrick Bourke, T., was proposed by Mr Wm. Clancy and seconded by Mr T. Gough. Mr Bourke was unanimously elected as Vice-Chairman. He stressed the importance of capable individuals holding such positions and thanked the Guardians for their support.
- Deputy Vice-Chairman: Mr Thomas Bourke was re-elected as Deputy Vice-Chairman.
Additionally, representatives were nominated to serve on various councils and committees:
- For the Glin District School, three representatives were elected from the city: Messrs. T. McMahon, Martin Sheehan, and P. Dillon.
- For the No. 1 District Council, three representatives were elected from the city: Messrs. T. Lane, Patrick Mulqueen, and J. Clancy.
- For the No. 2 District Council, three representatives were elected from the city: Messrs. John Madden, John Ryan, and Michael Keane.
The meeting concluded with the successful election of officers and representatives for the various councils and committees, ensuring the continued governance and administration of the Limerick Board of Guardians.
