At the House of Commons, Mr O’Shaughnessy from Limerick West raised inquiries regarding the untended lands on the Brown Estate in Dromard. The Croagh branch of the United Irish League had submitted a resolution to the Estates Commissioners, requesting allocation to Mrs. O’Grady and T Abern, both tenants with uneconomic holdings on the estate.
Responding, Mr Birrell acknowledged receiving the resolution but cited a lack of particulars to identify the estate in question. He emphasized the need for specific details before any action could be taken. Mr O’Shaughnessy pressed the matter, urging an inquiry into the situation, to which Mr Birrell reiterated the necessity of concrete information for identification.
