LIMERICK MEN MISSING IN ACTION DURING WAR EFFORT

Two Limerick residents, Mr Parry A. Alexander and Sergeant Thomas Hogan, have been reported missing in action amidst their service in the ongoing conflict. Mr Parry A. Alexander, hailing from Roslyn, North Strand, Limerick, and son of Sir and Sirs James Alexander, was last known to be engaged in the Dardanelles campaign. Before his deployment, he held a position as an official in the Waterford branch of the Provincial Bank. Joining the 7th Service Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers, he bravely participated in the landing at Santa Bay, but his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Similarly, Sergeant Thomas Hogan, formerly of the 1st Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, has also been listed as missing. Hogan, who has displayed exceptional courage throughout numerous battles, including at Cott and on several occasions where he sustained non-critical injuries, is now unaccounted for. Despite his valiant efforts, his current status remains uncertain.

The families of both men, deeply rooted in Limerick, are enduring a period of profound concern and uncertainty. Mr James Alexander, brother of Parry A. Alexander, serves as a firefighter with the Limerick Fire Brigade, further underscoring the community ties of those involved in the conflict.

Efforts to gather further information and provide support to the families are underway, as loved ones anxiously await updates on the fate of these two brave individuals who have selflessly served their country.
